Captopril-induced fall in glomerular filtration rate in cyclosporine-treated hypertensive patients.

1993
It was found that two known renal vasodilators had different effects on RBF and GFR in the setting of therapeutic blood levels of cyclosporine in hypertensive renal transplant patients. Captopril lowered blood pressure in these patients but also lowered blood flow and GFR. Nifedipine lowered blood pressure to the same degree but without lowering either RBFor GFR.
