Associations Between Serum Lycopene and Cancer-Related Fatigue: Findings From the US 2005–2006 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)

2021
Objectives Cancer-related fatigue is characterized by an overwhelming sense of tiredness that cannot be relieved by sleep or rest; it often persists for years into survivorship. Maintaining appropriate nutritional status is critical during cancer treatment, though few studies have assessed relationships between diet quality and cancer-related fatigue. Herein, we aimed to investigate the association between serum lycopene, a proxy for diet quality, and fatigue in a large representative sample of the US population.
