The invention relates to a measuring device, in particular a humidity measurement device, with an integrated sensor unit (12) which is provided to detect at least a moisture characteristic of at least one building material (14). It is proposed that the measuring device comprises a communication unit (16) which is provided at least to receive at least one signal at least one external sensor unit (18). Furthermore, the invention relates to an external sensor unit (18) for use with such a measuring device.
