Иммуномодулирующая и антиоксидантная активность настойки Cimicifuga dahurica (Turcz.) Maxim

2019
Immune modulating effect of the tincture derived from the roots of Cimicifuga dahurica (Turcz.) Maxim in experimental immunosuppression caused by azathioprine was studied. The tested remedy was shown to reduce suppressive effect of cytostatic azathioprine on the reaction index of delayed-type hypersensitivity and antibody response. The tested extract is comparable by their effect to the «Immunal» — preparation of comparison and does not change the parameters of immunity in intact mice. The immunoprotective effect of C. dahurica dry extract is based on its ability to stabilize the membrane of immune competent cells due to the inhibition of lipid peroxidation (the decrease of lipid peroxidation products in the spleen homogenate), the increase in the activity of the bodily antioxidant protection enzymes (catalase activity and reduced glutathione content improving), and the ability to deactivate reactive oxygen and other initiators of lipid peroxidation.
