Fabrication and Performance Evaluation of Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell Integrated with Metal Interconnect by Joining Process
2015
Fuel-electrode supported solid oxide cell (SOC) integrated with metal interconnect was fabricated and its electrochemical performance was investigated under both fuel cell and coelectrolysis (steam and CO2) mode at 750~850°C. The single cell performances under fuel cell (FC) and co-electrolysis (Co-EC) modes are compared with those of conventional fuel-electrode supported SOC by analyzing AC impedance spectra and product gas composition with gas chromatography (GC). Fairly stable long-term performance in co-electrolysis mode under the constant current density of 800 mA/cm2 is obtained at 800°C using wet and carbon dioxide (CO2) mixed gas condition.
