Determination of entrapment efficiency for long-circulation thermo-sensitive liposome containing docetaxel

Objective To establish and validate HPLC methods for the determination of the entrapment efficiency of long-circulation thermo-sensitive liposomes containing docetaxel(DLTL).Methods Centrifugation was applied to isolate free drug and HPLC was used to determine the entrapment efficiency of DLTL.The feasibility of the method was investigated.Results Following the lowspeed centrifugation at 9300 × g for 10 min,the entrapment efficiency of DLTL was determined.The average recovery was 101.36%(RSD =0.59%).Conclusion The method is simple,accurate,reliable and sensitive,and can be applied to the determination of the entrapment efficiency of DLTL.
