Analysis on affecting factors of process energy consumption in steelmaking system

The progress of energy-saving technology for converter steelmaking in Chinese steel enterprises and minus energy steelmaking technology of converter in Shougang are introduced based on historical data.Relationships between steel output and energy consumption for different steelmaking processes,including converter and continuous casting,are established according to the operating data of SHOUGANG's three steelmaking plants.Emphasis is laid on analyzing the effect of the new-to-old coefficient,LDG recovery quantity on the energy consumption of converter process as well as whole steelmaking process.Based on comparison and analysis to LDG recovery quantity of advanced steel enterprises in China,the energy-saving potential for converter and steelmaking processes,some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
