First record of the genus Bungona (Harker 1957) (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae) and range extension of two species belonging to Bungona in India

Extensive collections of Baetidae in the Western Ghats, Central India and North-East India resulted in new record of the genus Bungona and two species formerly described in Sri Lanka and Borneo viz., Bungona (Centroptella) soldani (Muller-Liebenau 1980) and Bungona (Chopralla) pusilla (Muller-Liebenau 1984) respectively, thereby providing geographic range extension from Sri Lanka and Borneo to India.
