Connector and photoelectric conversion device having same

This connector is provided with a photoelectric conversion unit, a fixing device, and a housing. The photoelectric conversion unit converts an optical signal to an electrical signal. The fixing device has a first surface, a second surface, and a through-hole. The housing houses the photoelectric conversion unit and the fixing device so that the photoelectric conversion unit and the fixing device are aligned in a first direction. The through-hole contacts the first surface at a first opening section. In the first opening section, the opening length in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction is greater than the opening lengths in directions which are not the second direction but perpendicular to the first direction.
