Present status of polarized proton beam at KEK

The project of acceleration of the polarized proton beam at 12 GeV proton synchrotron of KEK is now progressing. The construction of the new preaccelerator of 750 keV for the polarized H/sup -/ ion source and the new LEBT from the new preaccelerator to the linac started in 1980. The H/sup -/ injection system for the 500 MeV booster synchrotron is also under construction. The authors are also constructing the polarimeters and pulsed quadrupole magnets and improving the control system of the orbit correction for the main synchrotron. 4 references, 3 figures, 1 table.
