Design and Fault Simulation Analysis of Three-Phase Star Winding for Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motors

The paper presents the design process of three-phase star winging of permanent magnet brushless DC motors.The winding connection among coils was confirmed by fractional-slot motor analytical calculations basing magnetic potential star graph and phase belt partitioned operation.Meanwhile,simulation results of common fault simulation applied to an 1.5 kW permanent magnet brushless DC motor prove the validity of fault simulation.
