Simulation of a Reacting Plasma: Preliminary Results

1997
Electron-ion recombination is important to the study of any process involving plasmas. It provides a primary ionization-loss mechanism and a source of many highly excited and radical species. Using current techniques, detailed analysis of light emissions from this process is difficult. We present preliminary results of simulations of reacting plasmas which, eventually, should allow for a more quantitative analysis of experimental results.
