Estudio del comportamiento de la emisión de salpicadura, en el proceso de GMAW, utilizando mezclas de CO 2 + O 2 como gas de protección

In this work a study about the influence of the addition of determined amounts of O2 to CO2 in the spatter generation, in order to improve the metal transfer conditions, is presented. To this purpose, an experimental technique, which took into account the quantity of O2 added to the CO2 and had as outcome the quantity of spatter adhered to the gas nozzle, was implemented. For the study, CO2 was used as reference and six mixtures, between 10 and 30% of O2, with a variation of 5% between them were evaluated. As a result of this study the behaviour of the quantity of spatter with respect to the content of O2 in the mixture was obtained.
