STRUCTURE AND INTRINSIC MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF R 2 Fe 17 C COMPOUNDS
2005
We have stulied the structure and intrinsic magnetic properties of R 2 Fe 17 C compounds (R = Y, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy and Er), and compared them with the corresponding R 2 Fe 17 compounds. The Curie temperatures of R 2 Fe 17 C are about 200K greater than those of R 2 Fe 17 . We discussed the variation of the structure and magnetism of the compounds due to introducing C atoms. Furthermore,Sm 2 (Fe 1-x Co x ) 17 C compounds have also been studied.
