Hidrogeles semi-interpenetrados de poliacrilamida/poli (vinil alcohol): estudio de su estructura, capacidad de absorción y propiedades mecánicas

2018
In this work polyacrylamide (PAAm) and polyacrylamide/poly (vinyl alcohol) (PAAm / PVA) hydrogels semi-interpenetrating (semi-IPN) were synthesized. They were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gravimetry and mechanical tests (compressive strength in hydrogels and xerogels, Vickers microhardness (Hv / 100 g) and shore hardness (HS / 60 sec) in xerogels). The FTIR spectroscopy reflected the effective incorporation of PVA in the networks of PAAm. The gravimetric and mechanical tests denoted superiority in the formulation of PAAm /PVA semi-IPN gels with respect to those of PAAm, projecting the hydrogels with PVA as a material able to resist loads, penetration and scratched; favorable qualities for new industrial applications.
