METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING THE CAVITY PARAMETERS OF PULSED RAMAN LASERS WITH LONGITUDINAL EXTERNAL PUMPING

A simple method is proposed for calculating the dependence of the Stokes radiation power of Raman lasers with external pulsed pumping on the cavity parameters. A relationship is obtained which defines the range of pump powers at which a laser system should generate only the first Stokes component. The dependence of this output on the reflectivity of the output window and on the pump power is obtained for fixed values of the other parameters.
