Preparation of Thermal Polyurethane(TPU) Nanotubes Using a Porous Template Method

Thermal polyurethane(TPU) nanotubes and the array structure were prepared by wetting porous anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) template with polymer solution and melt.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) results indicate that nanotubes structures depend on the solution addition.Different array structures of nanotubes were obtained using the 7.0%(wt) TPU solution addition of 1 μL,2 μL and 3 μL,respectively.And 2 μL proves to be the optimal solution addition.The effect of the degree of first wetting on nanotubes structure was studied to support the multi-time wetting mechanism for polymer solution wetting method.
