On the Development Strategy of the Small-And-Middle-Scale Banks in China

On the basis of comparison between the state owned banks and the other small and middle scale banks, the author thinks that the small and middle scale banks are the favorable supplement to the state owned banks and also important necessities in the construction of the socialist market oriented economy in China. However, they have crucial challenge in their survival and development. Thus, the author analyzes their development strategy and gives the some views: (1) localization of their operation goals; (2) characterization of their operation items; (3) modernization of their operation means; (3) specialization of their operation staffs.
