Method and device for selecting an object from a list

The invention relates to a method for selecting an object (8) from a list. A portion of a list is displayed by means of graphical objects (8) on a display surface (2), and functions are assigned at least partly to each graphical object (8). The list is displayed as a stack in which a first graphical object (8-1) is completely visible at the top of the stack, and other graphical objects (8-2 to 8-4) are displayed in an only partly visible manner perspectively behind the first graphical object (8-1), wherein one of the other graphical objects (8-2 to 8-4) is selected by means of a selection operating process. The method according to the invention is characterized in that at least the first graphical object (8-1) displayed at the top of the stack disappears when a selection operating process has been detected such that one (8-2) of the other graphical objects (8-2 to 8-4) is displayed at the top of the stack after the first graphical object (8-1) has disappeared, and said graphical object (8-2) is automatically selected such that the function assigned to said graphical object (8-2) is carried out. The invention further relates to a device for carrying out said method and to a vehicle (10) comprising such a device.
