Quark fragmentation functions and long-range correlations ine+e− annihilation at 29 GeV

1985
We study long-range correlations between hadrons in opposite jets ine+e− annihilation events at\(\sqrt s \)=29 GeV. We use the data to measure differences between quark and antiquark fragmentation functions into charged hadrons, and to estimate the variation of fragmentation properties among quark flavors. We find large variations in longitudinal fragmentation functions, but universal mean transverse momenta of hadrons in jets.
