The invention provides an adhesive composition for a solar cell backboard with a high breakdown voltage. The adhesive composition comprises the following components: polyester resin, a curing agent, an antioxidant, a light stabilizer, a high-dielectric material and a solvent, wherein a dielectric constant of the high-dielectric material is not lower than 5.0. Compared with the prior art, the adhesive composition has the following beneficial effects: 1, the high-dielectric material is added, so that the dielectric constant of a backboard film is increased, the breakdown voltage of the backboard is increased, the backboard can be used under a higher voltage, and the reliability is improved; 2, the added high-dielectric material has a relatively high heat conduction coefficient, so that the temperature of a battery pack can be reduced and the conversion efficiency can be improved; and 3, the added high-dielectric material is easy to prepare and simple to use.
