Glaucoma neovascular tras la cirugía de cataratas en diabéticos: Factores condicionantes

espanolSe realiza un analisis retrospectivo de 143 ojos (106 pacientes) diabeticos con retinopatia diabetica intervenidos de cataratas analizando la incidencia de glaucoma neovascular segun la tecnica quirurgica empleada. El riesgo de aparicion de GNV fue siete veces menor en los pacientes intervenidos mediante tecnica extracapsular que en el resto (P =0,003). Se analizan otros factores que pueden condicionar la aparicion de GNV apreciandose una asociacion significativa entre esta complicacion, el tipo de retinopatia y la aplicacion o no de laser.
