Data redundancy in an omnidirectional 3D DC resistivity dataset

2012
Summary A known mineralized zone was successfully mapped with high precision using an Orion3D survey. In order to examine data redundancy in the full dataset, a number of data subsets were generated to simulate smaller scale 3D survey scenarios. The results show that the data subsets reduce the resolution of the resulting model significantly. A large, omnidirectional dataset with high data density is required to adequately characterize the known deposit.
