Euthanasia and the Law: Some Comparitive Perspectives

The paper attempts to undertake a critical survey of the principal concepts underlying the euthanasia debate in law and to make a comparative study of the various regulatory legal mechanisms adopted by countries that permit euthanasia. It is also the aim of this paper to make a short critique of the reasoning of the Supreme Court of India in Aruna Shaubhag v. The Union of India.
