UNA NUEVA ESPECIE DE AGAVE SUBGENERO AGAVE (AGAVACEAE) DE MEXICO

Agave montana is described as a new species from the Sierra Madre Oriental. It is related to A. gentry i and A . parrasana but differs from both in its larger rosettes with more numerous leaves, ovate panicles with higher number of floriferous branches and armed bracts. A detailed illustration is included.
