Total Energy-Based Approach in VX-3 UAV Flight Dynamics Analysis

Aircraft performance refers to overall aircraft capabilities in various flight regimes, for example, the distance the aircraft can reach (range), the length of time the aircraft can spend in the air (endurance), the optimum speed, the maximum airplane climb speed, the best aircraft climb angle, etc. Based on aircraft total energy method preliminary aspects of energy management and control law design basics are presented as well as calculations of H-V diagrams (envelopes) for VX-3 UAV.
