Congenital rhabdomyosarcoma of the tongue: A case report

Abstract Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) represents the third most common neoplasm in children. RMS most commonly presents in the head and neck region, at a rate of 35%. Within the head and neck, however, the tongue is an uncommon site for this tumor. We present a report of a congenital rhabdomyosarcoma of the tongue treated with neo-adjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgical resection. A discussion with a review of the literature follows.
