Distinct patterns of DNA methylation characterize the epigenetic landscape of promyelocytic leukemia/retinoic acid receptor-α (PML-RARα)–associated acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). We previously reported that the microRNAs (miRNAs) clustered on chromosome 14q32 are overexpressed only in APL.
