A Constitutive Equation Theory of Viscoelastic Fluids

A new point of view for constitutive equation theory is proposed.The group of Rivlin-Ericksen tensors Am is used to describe the deformation history of the material with relaxation effects. Application of the theory is given for the viscometric and extensional flows.
