Some Medical Informatics for Medical Students

The experience with a minimal resource introductory course to medical Informatics (MI) for medical students In the second year of clinical education is summarized. The course consists of four times ninety minutes of lectures including a modest amount of demonstrations. Emphasis is put on rmotivating the students for the subject by giving an overview of thieoretical concepts and applications. This primary goal was reached while at the same time the knowledge could be only moderately increased, hopefully to a level which will permit the students to progress on their own.
