Structural-thermodynamic study of the deformation of poly-block polyester thermoelastoplasts of the polycondensation type☆

1989
Abstract The reversible and irreversible strains in polyester thermoelastoplasts are studied by strain calorimetry and wide-and small-angle X-ray diffraction methods. The stretching of such systems involves orientational drawing of partially crystalline polymers having a devitrified amorphous phase, and is accompanied by rearrangement of the rigid phase structure, which is irreversible under conventional conditions.
