Primeros registros de nidificación de Dives atroviolaceus (Ave: Icteridae) en cuevas y paredes rocosas/First nesting records of Cuban blackbird (Dives atroviolaceus) in caves and rocky cliffs

Presentamos el hallazgo de siete nidos de Toti ( Dives atroviolaceus ) en cavidades rocosas dentro del Area Protegida Topes de Collantes, localizada en el macizo montanoso Guamuhaya, al centro-sur de Cuba. Este es el primer reporte de anidacion de esta especie de la familia Icteridae en este tipo de sustrato. Describimos y ofrecemos nuestras consideraciones sobre la conducta de las aves y los sitios donde fueron construidos los nidos. Palabras clave: nidos, Icteridae, conducta, Toti Abstract. We present the finding of seven nests of Toti ( Dives atroviolaceus ) at rocky cavities inside the protected area Topes de Collantes, located in the Guamuhaya mountainous group of the southern center of Cuba. This is the first nesting report of this species of the Icteridae family at this kind of substratum.
