A Review of High Power Research on Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging

The implementation researches of high power electric vehicle wireless charging (kW) are summarized, and three methods to achieving high power: multiple inverters in parallel wireless power transfer (WPT) system, heterogeneous parallel WPT system and multi-matching transformer parallel WPT system. By comparing the three system's power expansibility, circulation inhibition effect, achievable power level, and the complexity of control system, the applicable scope of the three systems are given. And transfer efficiency and the maximum voltage of reactive power devices along with the change of load resistance among different topology compensation are compared.
