A new fuzzy adaptive control method for continuous stirred tank reactor

In the paper, a fuzzy adaptive control strategy is proposed for a class of cascade continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) systems with unknow functions based on the universal approximation property of fuzzy logic systems. The controller and adaptive law are designed based on the backstepping method, and the interconnected terms in the system are eliminated by backstepping method. The Lyapunov function is used to prove the closed-loop system is stable. The simulation results prove the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
