Abstract The method for calculating the kinetic parameters of an electrode process with ohmic drop consideration has been proposed. The cases where one or two electrode redox reactions are controlled by charge transport and the case of mixed kinetics of cathodic reaction have been analysed. Model calculations are shown to give correct values of kinetic parameters in all the above cases. It is found that the computational results are stable to metering errors of current values and for correct definition of kinetic parameters the current values have to be measured accurate to 3–4 decimal places and with random noise less than 0.1–1% relative to exchange current.
