Diagnósticos de enfermería en pacientes portadores de catéteres venosos centrales transitorios para el tratamiento de hemodiálisis

2019
Currently, the use of non-tunneled central venous catheters (NTVCs) as vascular access for haemodialysis is still common1. In general, they are indicated to patients who need to initiate treatment as an emergency procedure2 and sometimes without having attended an advanced CKD consultation, so they are unaware of the consequences of being a catheter carrier. Nursing care for these patients must contemplate a holistic vision of the person under the protection of a conceptual model and it is useful to use the NANDA/NIC/NOC taxonomy which allows the ordering and classification of Nursing Diagnosis (ND) and standardisation of nursing records which, in addition to guiding the nursing process towards results and interventions, help the development of the discipline and the nursing profession3.
