Application of Fricke Dosimetry for Bnct

1993
Ferrous sulfate dosimeters, introduced for dosimetry by Hugo Fricke in 1927, are recognized for their accuracy, reproducibility, and stability among other chemical systems for dose measurements. Their response to different qualities of ionizing radiations has been extensively studied and their physical characteristics together with the analytical methods are well documented in number of publications [1-4]. The sensitivities of these dosimeters to different types of ionizing radiation have been well described in terms of the radiation chemical yields, G, thus making them absolute dosimeters.
