Aspectos da regulamentação da morte encefálica: uma perspectiva integrativa

Objective: To describe the aspects of brain death regulation cited in articles having has a research question: what are the normative aspects of brain death in Brazil, considering the performance of the nurse, are cited in publications national and international levels in the period 1960-2016? Methods: This is an integrative review study adopting the steps suggested by published in the BVS, BDENF and MEDLINE databases. Results: We selected 7 articles: 4 quantitative approach and 3 qualitative approach, published by authors from the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil, in the Portuguese and English languages, in Qualis A2, B1, B2 and C journals. Final considerations: It is concluded that the documentation of brain death, the interview with the relatives, the care provided to the possible donor are factors that are associated with the effectiveness of organ donation. Faced with the possibility of a possible organ donation, the articles selected include, with their studies and their samples, the central axes to provoke a change in the performance of the professionals responsible for the success of a transplant.
