Body component for a vehicle

The invention relates to a body panel for a vehicle, especially a motor vehicle, having a frame element which at least partially forms a closable opening in the body of the motor vehicle, wherein the frame member is formed such that a seal receiving portion is provided for receiving a line extending around the body opening seal to a to enable sealing the body opening. According to the invention it is provided that the frame member is manufactured as a one-piece molding of two or more semi-finished fiber, which are connected by means of a hardened molding material integral with each other.
