The invention belongs to the technical field of building materials, and in particular relates to a high strength polymer modified cement mortar, a preparation method and application thereof. The cement mortar is composed of cement, sand, a polymer emulsion, a water reducing agent, a defoaming agent and water according to a certain proportion. Compounding synergistic effect of polymer emulsion and water reducing agent is used; and experimental research is conducted for selection of raw materials and formula optimization. Under low polymer emulsion dosage conditions (accounting for 4-6 wt% of cement), the 28d days compressive strength is up to 75.5-97.8MPa, the flexural strength is up to 14.8-17.7MPa, and stretching adhesive strength with concrete is up to 2.5-3.4 MPa, the splitting tensile strength is up to 8.25-9.56MPa. The product of the invention has good workability, convenience for construction, can meet the requirements of mortar performances for steel wire mesh-polymer mortar surface layer reinforcement method and has low cost.
