Molecular typing method for Salmonella

2010
Salmonella is an important pathogenic bacterium which is harmful to human and animal health, and it is one of the most common pathogens causing food poisoning. This paper presents three common molecular typing methods, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis, multi-locus sequence analysis, and multiple-locus variable number tandem repeats analysis, in which the application and progress of molecular typing of Salmonella for these methods are described.
