Mobility and current in electrolytically colored KCl crystals

Abstract KCl crystals have been electrolytically colored. Optical density hysteresis was observed during bleaching. In addition, when simultaneous measuring of current and optical transmission is made, an almost simultaneous coloring is detected within the first zone of current. An activation energy of 0.62eV was obtained, corroborating earlier literature data.
