Standardization of procedures of instrumentalization of the data in the prevention and treatment of physical disabilities in leprosy

: On the basis of the lesions detected in a recent multicentric survey conducted in Brazil, the instruments available for recording data on the prevention and treatment of physical disabilities in leprosy are presented and discussed. The classification card recommended by the World Health Organization is compared with the instrument used in Brazil.
