Application of the Flow Rate Meter Based on Laser Doppler Anemometer to High Pressure Fuel Injection Rate Measurement

The paper introduces the improved LDA flow rate meter to measure the fuel injection rate in the internal combustion engine. LDA flow rate meter is based on laser Doppler anemometer, it only measures one point time-series velocity on the center of circular pipe. After then, it provides instantaneous flow rate and integral mass of the flow. In this paper, it measured the high pressure injection system of the direct-injection engine. In the measurement, the fuel pressure is changed from 5MPa to 20MPa and injection time is changed from 0.5ms to 5ms.著者らは,レーザドップラ流速計を基礎とした流量計(LDA流量計)を開発し,燃料噴射率計測に適用してきた.LDA流量計は,燃料配管の中央一点の流速の時間履歴を測り,瞬時流量とその積算流量を得る.直噴エンジンの高圧燃料噴射での利用のために,測定部の一部は新たに設計し最大20MPaの噴射圧でテストし性能を評価した.
