Health Care in the Cloud: A Few Case Studies

In this chapter, we will focus on health care in the cloud, starting with an example of moving brain blood flow data using Transcranial Doppler (TCD) to a public cloud and accessed via a mobile application. We will dive deep into the architecture and deployment of a sample application that enables authorized doctors anytime, anywhere to access their patients’ records. Then we will look at another example of an antibiogram using unclassifiable data. Additional cloud-based collaborative tools will be described, such as federated learning and multi-cloud-based solutions.
