Identification et classification de l'occupation du sol à partir de scènes Thematic Mapper : Application aux prairies d'une region de Champagne humide

This paper presents a method developped for isolating grasslands and meadows from two Thematic Mapper scenes, dated 1 April 1990 and 15 May 1992. The use of filters, thresholds, supervised and non-supervised classifications with both manual and automatic delineation allows a mask to be produced selecting grasslands and meadows only. Mapping of their chlorophyllian states uses differences in spectral behaviour for near- and medium- infrared reflective channels.
