Canine Pododermatitis in a dog and its Therapeutic Management

2013
A six year old male dalmatian dog was presented with history of inflammed swelling of both foreleg paws. Confirmatory diagnosis of pododermatitis was made by clinical symptoms, laboratory investigation and antibiotic sensitivity. The animal was treated with antibacterials systemically and topically. Ivermectin injection was given to counter demodicosis. Symptomatic treatment of allergic signs and supportive therapy with Zinc supplements resulted in complete recovery of signs in one week of treatment.
