Gel-form composition

Provided is a gel-form composition having a high thickening effect even when having a polyhydric alcohol content of 50% by mass or more, said composition being capable of imparting a smooth feeling on use to the skin, and having excellent dispersibility. This gel-form composition contains (A) a polymer of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer crosslinked by a water-soluble crosslinking agent, (B) a polyhydric alcohol, and (C) water. Component (A) is 0.1-5% by mass; component (B) is 50-95% by mass; component (C) is 1-10% by mass.
