IL SETTORE NORD-OVEST E I MATERIALI DELL’EDIFICIO A DI MONT’E PRAMA (SCAVI 2015-2016)

Lo scavo del settore nord-occidentale del terreno della Confraternita del Rosario ha rivelato un lungo muro quasi rettilineo in blocchi di basalto con elementi in arenaria. In mancanza di altre strutture che definiscano un edificio provvisto di copertura, si ritiene probabile l’interpretazione come parte di un recinto di forma e dimensioni non note. Vengono presentati i materiali ceramici e un pugnaletto in bronzo, pienamente inquadrati nell’aspetto culturale del Primo Ferro oristanese documentato a Mont’e Prama. La frequentazione post-nuragica interessa principalmente lo strato superficiale e copre un periodo che, quasi senza soluzione di continuita, giunge all’epoca altomedievale. Vengono inoltre presentati i materiali nuragici dell’atrio A1 e i materiali post-nuragici dell’edificio A. In eta punica (V-IV sec. a.C.) il vano A e oggetto di un’occupazione abitativa che ha determinato la distruzione delle fasi d’uso nuragiche. The excavation of the north-western part of the Confraternita del Rosario’s property revealed a long, almost rectilinear wall made up of basalt blocks with some sandstone elements. In the absence of other structures defining a building provided with a roof, it should be interpreted as a part of an enclosure whose shape and size are unknown. The study presents the ceramic finds and a small bronze dagger, which are well framed in the cultural aspect of the Early Iron Age of the Oristano region, already documented at Mont’e Prama. The post-nuragic occupation affected mostly the surface layer, lasting, almost without interruption, till the early mediaeval period. The study also presents the nuragic finds from atrium A1 and the post-nuragic finds from building A. During the punic period (5 th -4 th cent. B.C.) room A was occupied by a dwelling, which caused the destruction of the nuragic arrangement.
