The histological, morphometric and statistical methods have been used to assess the reactive, adaptive and compensatory properties of placenta tissue elements, when administering copper nanoparticles to females during the whole period of pregnancy. On the basis of verification the quantitative parameters of placenta development it has been found that its tissue elements demonstrate sensitivity to copper nanopowder. The process of placentation is disturbed, the dynamics (volume and direction) of trophoblast differentiation, which leads to initiation of placental insufficiency, is reduced, the placental mass is decreased and the volume of inmature trophoblast is reliably doubled. Other parameters of functional morphology of the placenta (the relative volume of the fetal part of placenta and the diameter of the beam maze area) are also characterized by a significant decrease of their own values. The difficulty of the tissue elements response to the impact of adverse factors is shown.
